My husband and I were trying to get pregnant starting in November with no luck. I was in the peak of stressful nursing school that caused a huge imbalance in my hormones. My experience with DeWayne Baugus can be summed up as miraculous. I learned of his battlefield acupuncture technique after my son prompted me to find someone here who performed it. My oldest son is an injured veteran who learned of this from the VA. I had extreme difficulty walking. My right foot was nailed to the floor, and I sometimes just could not move. I had bouts with incontinence and my sleep was restless at best. I came to my first appointment at Maplebrook Acupuncture clinic in my motorized wheelchair where I had been for almost a year. After the first treatment, I came home and parked in the garage and walked across the garage to the kitchen door. I had not done that in over a year. By the time I saw DeWayne, I had sought treatment from neurosurgeons, neurologists, and orthopedic surgeons and never got any relief from their treatments. DeWayne’s first question to me was, what do you want to get from this therapy. I responded, just let me walk. If I am out for a long walk, I still use my walker, but I have not been in my wheelchair since my first treatment. My sleep and incontinence have improved, and I rest much better. Maplebrook acupuncture has been an extremely positive experience and helped me in multiple ways. I originally went for fertility help when trying to get pregnant naturally at age 40. Many doctors told me it would be unlikely due to my age, but after 4 months of treatment and diet changes, I was able to get pregnant naturally. I continued treatments throughout my pregnancy and Dr. Dewayne was able to help with nausea, headaches, muscle aches, and pains without having to take medication. It was very important to me to take limited medication during my pregnancy and Dr. Dewayne made that possible. After having the baby my milk came in slowly and Dr. Dewayne was able to increase my milk supply by double after my first treatment and then increased again after my second treatment. In addition to helping me with fertility, the treatments have also helped with anxiety and everyday stress. I believe anyone can benefit from the treatments and would highly recommend trying for any ailment or health issue.

I started getting acupuncture treatments this past summer for carpel tunnel. I was on the list to see a specialist to get ready for carpel tunnel surgery, but that appoint was months away and needed something to ease the pain. My chiropractor recommended acupuncture and Dr. Baugus. I’m picky about my acupuncturist and didn’t have much hope but would give it a try. I can say Dr. Baugus is one of the best. He takes the time to find out everything that is going on with you mentally, emotionally and physically and will recommend a treatment that would work best for you. He is amazing at explaining what how the treatments work and how everything is connected mentally, emotionally and physically as well as blending western and eastern medicine. The treatment center is very calming and relaxing and feels like a spa treatment. After less than 5 treatments I was able to cancel my surgery plans and I’m able to fully use my right hand with my 10 key with very little to no problems. This saved me a surgery cost and down time. I’m sure a few more treatments and it will be completely gone. During my last treatment I mentioned that an old hip injury was flaring up and he treated that as well, this one will take more treatments – but the next day I could walk with no pain. It isn’t cured but with more treatments I’m sure I will have just as amazing results as I received for my carpel tunnel. Two weeks after my third dental implant and extensive dental work, I was admitted to the hospital for the first time. For the next 2 ½ years I was admitted to hospital seven times and sent from doctor to doctor trying to get a diagnosis. After seeing twenty three doctors and health practitioners, discounting the numerous doctors in the hospital, I was no better. At this point I had I had 14 diagnosis My heart issues were, Bradycardia, arrhythmia Abib. Hoshimotoes, Celiac, sleep apnea. MTHFR Gene mutation, Hypoxia, Antibody Defiency Disease and others, many of this were related to my compromised immune system already existed. Apparently the extensive dental work just ut my health over the top. Doctor D. was able to make the connection between the cranial nerve issues that aggravated my hiatal hernia. Apparentely the dental work had damaged the vagal nerve. The moment he inserted the acupuncture needs in the appropiate meridians the burping, chest pains, high blood pressure and low heart rate I had endured for over two years stopped. If you feel you can’t get better that simply is not true finding the right treatment is the answer. We in American have been made to believe that western medicine and a prescription is the answer but in my case and the case of many others we have found help in alternative medicine when western medicine didn’t know what to do.

Two years ago I walked into Maplebrook Acupuncture Clinic as a last resort following several years of steroid injections and a year of epidermal injections for chronic back pain. 800 mg of ibuprofen taken 3-4 times a day was making it possible to continue an active work load. The sliding scale pricing made 3 visits a week affordable for over 6 months, gradually decreasing to two times a week, and now, two years later, I am on a maintenance schedule for the pain. 1 year ago I was having a lot of pain in my right leg! I had gone to the Dr., of course, he said it was arthritis. What is arthritis? A lot of pain and limping around. Dewayne is amazing and a truly gifted healer. I was mowing my yard and fell off a step and hurt my foot. I went to my doctor who sent me to an Orthopedic surgeon. The Orthopedic surgeons said the only way for my foot to get better was to have posterior tibial tendon reconstruction. The surgery would require 8 to 10 months of recovery with ongoing physical therapy. I hated the thought of such serious surgery and decided to give De Wayne a chance to help with my injury. After the first treatment, I left walking better and had less pain. I have been going for weekly treatments and every week I get stronger and have less pain. Each week the treatment lasts longer.
