Meet Ildi Bercak, Our Wellness Specialist

Why did I become a yoga teacher?

Yoga has changed my life forever. When I took my first yoga class (Anusara yoga at the Garden of the heart Yoga Center) in Sarasota, FL. I realized how important it is to listen to our body and learn to let go of it all, after 8 years of having to work for law firms and corporations, dealing with unecessary stress, anxiety, and drama.

I absolutely love to teach people about how to make positive changes in their body, mind and spirit, and learn new exciting ways to accomplish things they didn’t think were possible.

Whenever we love what we do for a living, we never work a day in our lives. The road to success is never a straight line and it always has its ups and downs. It took me a long time to realize what I was supposed to do in life that gives me the gratification that teaching yoga does.

Yoga is a dance between control and surrender—between pushing and letting go—and when to push and when to let go becomes a part of the creative process, part of the open-ended exploration of your being.

Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind.

When you are quiet, you see everything with love. All these rituals we do are just for us to express how grateful we are to be here. My goal is to be of service to others and make a difference, inspire, transform, heal, restore and uplift with the powers of yoga, to help people find their true self, to connect to their body, mind and soul and to find inner peace and happiness within ourselves.

I teach many styles of Yoga and Pilates. Vinyasa Flow yoga is for those who knows some basic postures and likes to flow breath and movement together. Gentle/Hatha yoga is a slower paced, more gentle practice with more emphasis on alignment and breathing/meditation.

Pilates is to help build long and lean muscles as we lengthen and strengthen around the spine, deepen flexibility, help improve postrural awareness, increase vitality by correcting breathing patterns, improve mental clarity and reduce stress.
